FAT Recover manually recover files from bad floppy disks using FAT Recover and dd. By telling you the locations of all the files on your disk or disk image, you can use dd to extract the necessary parts. You could also use grep on a disk image to hunt for file header signatures for really messed-up disks. If anyone is interested in making a front end in something like GTK+/GNOME, please let me know.
